Finished luxury bathroom with freestanding bath, large-format porcelain tiling and brushed brass brassware

About Install My Bathroom

Install My Bathroom is a fit-only installation business based in Bracknell, Berkshire. We don't sell sanitaryware, brassware, tiles or furniture. We fit it. Clients buy the bathroom from whichever showroom, manufacturer or retailer they trust, and our job is to install it to a standard that honours what was chosen and paid for.

Why fit-only

Most bathroom companies want to sell you the suite as well as install it, which means their margin sits on the products as much as the labour. That arrangement tends to steer customers toward whatever's in the showroom or on a supplier deal that quarter, and it blurs who's accountable when something goes wrong — the retailer or the installer. We removed that layer entirely. You choose the exact Villeroy & Boch basin, the exact Kaldewei bath, the exact porcelain, from wherever you want, at whatever price you negotiate, and we quote purely on the labour and site work needed to get it in the ground, on the wall, and running correctly. There's no incentive for us to push a particular brand, because we don't sell any.

It also means the survey and the written scope we hand over is genuinely about your room and your products, not a generic package. A carrier frame for a wall-hung WC, the waste position for a freestanding bath, the electrical zoning around a steam shower — these all depend on what you've specified, and we work them out before anything is ordered rather than improvising on-site.

30 years of the same trade

30 years fitting bathrooms covers a lot of changes in the products — concealed cisterns replacing exposed ones, large-format porcelain replacing small tile, shower toilets arriving as a mainstream request rather than a novelty — but the underlying discipline hasn't moved. Falls to drain still have to clear water properly. Tanking still has to be continuous, with no shortcuts at upstands or pipe penetrations. Tile joints still have to line through from floor to wall for the room to read as considered rather than assembled. That discipline is what we charge for, regardless of whether the bathroom in front of us cost £4,000 or £140,000 in products.

Two tiers of client, one fitting standard

A significant share of our work is for owners of substantial homes across Wentworth Estate, Virginia Water, Sunningdale and Ascot specifying £50,000–£100,000 or more in sanitaryware, natural stone and brassware — often imported directly from a manufacturer in Germany or Italy, or sourced through a high-end showroom. These jobs usually involve moving services, reinforcing floors for stone, and coordinating electrics for steam rooms or digital showers.

A second tier of clients across Bracknell and Binfield come to us for a full bathroom replacement from £3,500, using mid-market suppliers for a new suite, a walk-in shower, retiling and updated electrics, without the stone and brass specification of the higher tier. What doesn't change between the two is the standard the work is fitted to — the same tanking, the same set-out from centre lines, the same attention to lippage and falls. The products being installed are different; the installation isn't.

What we won't do

We won't quote a job we haven't surveyed, start before the critical products are confirmed on site, or cut corners on tanking to hit a date. If gas, Part P electrical, or unvented hot water work is needed, it's carried out by appropriately registered engineers as part of the project, not worked around.
