This policy explains what personal data Bhupinder Sahota trading as Install My Bathroom ("we", "us") collects through installmybathroom.co.uk and in the course of dealing with enquiries, surveys and installations, why we collect it, and how it's handled. We're a small, UK-based installation business and we keep data handling as simple and limited as the work requires.
What we collect
Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:
- — Name, email address, phone number and postcode, submitted through our enquiry or survey booking forms
- — Project details you choose to share — property type, rooms, product and brand preferences, budget band, target start date, and any message or photo you attach
- — Records of phone calls and WhatsApp messages where you've contacted us directly on those channels
- — Messages exchanged with the "Amy" chat widget on the site, if you choose to use it
We don't collect payment card details through the website — any survey or project payment is handled through a separate, secure payment provider.
How we use it
Personal data submitted through an enquiry, survey booking, call, WhatsApp message or the chat widget is used to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a site survey, prepare a written installation scope and quote, and — where a project goes ahead — to deliver and manage the installation, including any necessary coordination with registered gas, electrical or plumbing engineers working on your project. We don't use your data for purposes unrelated to responding to you or delivering a project you've asked for.
Form submissions and third-party processing
Enquiry and survey booking forms on this site are processed using Netlify Forms, which receives and stores your submission so we can read and respond to it. Netlify acts as a data processor for this purpose.
If you use the "Amy" chat widget, your messages may be sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic processes that conversation as a data processor acting on our instructions, in order to answer your question. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in the chat widget beyond what's needed to answer your query.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We don't share your details with other businesses except where necessary to deliver your project — for example passing your address and relevant project details to a registered engineer who needs to attend site as part of the installation.
How long we keep data
We retain enquiry and project data for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver the project, deal with any aftercare or warranty matter, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Data relating to enquiries that don't proceed to a project is retained for a limited period and then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct inaccurate data, to ask us to delete data we no longer need, and to object to how we're using it. To make any of these requests, email info@installmybathroom.co.uk. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
