Frequently asked questions
Questions about the basics of our fit-only model, the survey and pricing are answered on the homepage. Below are the questions that come up once a project's actually underway — logistics, responsibilities, guarantees and edge cases.

A straightforward like-for-like replacement typically runs 5–7 working days. A full re-fit with moved services, a wet room, and natural stone can run 3–4 weeks. The written scope from your survey includes a programme specific to your project, since the biggest variable is how much first-fix and tanking work is needed, not the size of the room.
No, as long as we have reliable access and a working water and power supply. Many clients go to work as normal. We do ask for a point of contact reachable by phone during the day in case a decision is needed on site — for example confirming a tile layout detail or a fixing position.
Usually yes, if you have another bathroom or facilities available. We protect floors, stairwells and access routes for the duration of the job and keep dust contained with sheeting where cutting is taking place, but a bathroom strip-out is still noisy and dusty work, so plan around that rather than expecting business as usual in the rest of the house.
Yes. Strip-out and disposal of the existing suite, tiling and any waste generated during installation is included in the installation price, not charged separately.
Standard working hours are weekdays during the day. We don't routinely work weekends, though exceptions can sometimes be arranged for access-restricted properties — ask at enquiry stage if this matters to your project.
Payment terms are confirmed in your written quote, typically a deposit to secure the install date followed by staged payments tied to progress and a final balance on completion and snagging sign-off. We don't request full payment upfront.
Yes. The survey measures the room and checks services regardless of specification, and we'll advise on what to look for when you do order — carrier frame compatibility, waste positions, clearances. Having at least a rough idea of layout and key items (bath, shower, WC type) helps us scope accurately, but full product selection isn't a prerequisite.
We'll advise on what will and won't work technically in your space — clearances, waste positions, structural limits for stone — and can point you toward the kind of product that suits a layout, but we don't sell or specify brands on your behalf, since we have no commercial relationship with any manufacturer or retailer.
Yes. Many clients arrive with a layout already drawn up by a showroom or designer. We review it at survey stage for technical feasibility — waste runs, structural support, access — before confirming the scope and price.
Yes, multiple bathrooms or a bathroom alongside an en-suite or cloakroom can be programmed together, which is often more efficient than separate projects since site protection and some first-fix work can be shared.
Yes, with the usual caveats — any structural alteration, change to windows or external fabric, or work affecting a protected feature needs the appropriate consent before we start, and that's your responsibility to obtain. We'll flag anything at survey stage that's likely to need permission so it doesn't hold up the programme later.
Possibly, particularly for anything affecting shared pipework, flooring (noise regulations in many blocks require specific underlay or acoustic flooring), or waste connections. That consent sits with you as leaseholder; we can advise technically on what the work involves but can't obtain permissions on your behalf.
Yes, the workmanship is guaranteed — the tanking, tiling, fixing and sealing we carry out. This is separate from the product warranty on the sanitaryware, brassware or furniture itself, which sits with the manufacturer or the retailer you bought it from. Full terms are on our terms page.
Contact us directly and we'll assess whether it relates to the installation or the product. If it's workmanship — a silicone line failing, a fixing working loose — we'll arrange a visit to put it right. If it's a product fault, we'll help you identify what's covered under the manufacturer or retailer warranty, since that claim sits with them.
Yes, appropriate trade insurance is in place for work carried out on your property. Specific policy figures aren't published online, but documentation can be provided on request before a job starts.
Let us know as early as possible. Moving a confirmed date affects scheduling for other clients and any subcontracted trades booked around your job, so late changes may be subject to a charge — this is set out in your written quote.
Regulated trades — gas, Part P electrical, and unvented hot water cylinder work — are carried out by appropriately registered engineers coordinated as part of the project, since we're not ourselves registered in those specific disciplines. Core installation work (strip-out, tanking, tiling, fixing) is carried out directly.
Our current VAT position is confirmed at quote stage. Ask when you book your survey if this affects your budgeting, particularly for larger projects.
Sometimes, if the original tile is still in production or a close match can be sourced — this is something to check with the tile supplier directly before ordering, since we can't guarantee availability. For a seamless result on a partial re-tile, lining through existing joints and matching grout colour matters as much as matching the tile itself, and we'll advise on that at survey stage.
There's no formal tier system or different service level — it simply reflects that clients spend very different amounts depending on the products they choose, from a mid-market full replacement around £3,500 up to £100,000+ for stone, brass and bespoke fittings. The fitting standard and process are identical regardless of budget.
