Duravit bathroom installation in Ascot
Ascot's housing stock runs from large Victorian and Edwardian houses through to inter-war family homes and executive-style new builds, many on plots generous enough that relocating a waste run or widening a doorway for level access rarely hits the structural limits a terraced house would present. That same freedom is exactly what matters when a Duravit suite is being fitted, because it opens up the layout questions a Duravit installation tends to raise early: whether a wall-hung pan goes in on Duravit's own DuraSystem frame or on a standard concealed cistern frame, and where in the room that frame actually sits once a new waste run is in place. We fit a good number of Duravit bathrooms in and around Ascot, usually specified through a showroom alongside a SensoWash shower toilet seat or a full ME by Starck suite, and on a plot with room to move, that decision gets easier to get right before a wall closes up.
What we fit from Duravit
Duravit sanitaryware turns up on a good number of the bathrooms we install, generally specified through a showroom rather than bought off the shelf. Two things come up often: a SensoWash shower toilet seat, which adds a washlet function to a wall-hung pan, and a full ME by Starck suite, where basin, WC and furniture are specified together as a coordinated range. Both are fit-only as far as we're concerned — you choose the Duravit specification with your showroom or designer, and we handle the strip-out, first fix, frame installation, tiling and plumbing needed to get it in properly, for Ascot properties as much as anywhere else we work.
The frame decision, and why Ascot's plot sizes make it easier
The detail worth settling before anything is ordered is the installation route. Duravit offers its own DuraSystem frame for some wall-hung pans, as well as compatibility with a standard concealed cistern frame, and the two aren't interchangeable once a stud wall is boarded and tiled over. On a smaller or more constrained property, that decision can be forced by what's already there — an existing waste position, a shallow stud wall, a boxed-in duct that can't move. Ascot's larger plots generally remove that constraint: with more room to reposition a waste run or build a new stud wall from scratch, we can confirm the right frame for the specific pan at survey stage, rather than working around an existing installation that was never designed for a Duravit frame in the first place.
Fit-only, from survey to snagging
We work fit-only across Ascot: you source the Duravit sanitaryware, brassware and tiles through your showroom or designer, and we strip out the old bathroom, first-fix the plumbing and electrics a SensoWash seat needs, install the frame, tile, plumb in the suite and snag it, with installation starting from £3,500. A £125 survey ahead of that confirms the frame route, the waste run and anything else specific to the Duravit products you've chosen, before any of it is ordered. If you've already got a Duravit specification from a showroom, or you're still deciding, book a survey and we'll confirm exactly what the installation needs before you order anything.
Frequently asked questions
We're fit-only, so you buy the Duravit sanitaryware yourself, usually through a showroom, and we handle the installation — frame, first fix, tiling, plumbing and snagging.
Duravit offers its own DuraSystem frame for some wall-hung pans, as well as compatibility with a standard concealed cistern frame. They aren't interchangeable once a wall is boarded, so we confirm which route your specific pan needs at survey stage, before the stud wall goes up.
Yes. A SensoWash seat needs power and a water supply run to the pan in addition to the standard plumbing, which we plan for at first fix rather than retrofitting afterwards.
Generally, yes. Ascot's larger plots and detached properties tend to give us more freedom to reposition a waste run or build a new stud wall for the frame, compared with a terraced property where an existing layout can force the decision.
Fit-only installation starts from £3,500, with the exact price depending on the scope of work and the specific Duravit products being fitted. A £125 survey confirms the detail before we quote.
